Harefield Cricket Club - Colts Report - 2012

Colts Report - 2012

As you all know this seasons colts fixtures were extremely difficult to play due to the continuous rain which seemed to last from April till July. So much so that the U17's never played a single league or cup match.
This said, the boys and girls who did play were a credit to the club in both their cricketing abilities and their behaviour.
It's great to see so many of the colts now playing regular adult matches on Saturday's and Sunday's and not just making the numbers up but proving to be worthy of their selection, and a lot of credit must go to the adult members who do a sterling job of nurturing the colts to progress and maintain the step up to adult matches.
We have also seen the likes of Molly and Lauren progress up to playing matches with our newly formed Ladies team and have performed superbly through their own ability and the devotion and encouragement of Martyn King who should be applauded.
I would just like to thank all of the Managers and Coaches for their time and dedication and hope that we can see even more people getting involved next season to help out, because, as I've said before, the colts are the lifeblood of any successful club and we should be doing all that we can to
develop the colts section to reach its full potential.
