Harefield Cricket Club - Colts Annual Report 2014

Colts 2014 Report

Once again the boys and girls who play for our club performed extremely well against some excellent opposition and should be proud of their efforts. Behaviour, in the main, was again very impressive, although some of the colts need to accept the fact that they have a responsibility, when representing our club, to show respect to Coaches, Team Managers and fellow players.

Same as last year, several of the boys continue to excel both within their own age groups and with older age groups, and perform admirably at senior level. As a club we pride ourselves on bringing the boys through to adult cricket whenever availability and progress for the boys dictates, and the ones selected never let us down.

A huge thank you to all of the Team Managers and Coaches, who give up their time to coach the children, umpire matches and organise transport. This we should all be extremely grateful for as they give up a considerable amount of their time for our club and the children. In particular, the Team Managers.

Thanks also to the parents who give up their time to support the colts and help with transport.

The boys and girls have a pathway to go on to play at Borough and County level and are more than capable of progressing to achieve this and I hope that we will see more and more of our colts achieving these levels. We, as a club, will always encourage and promote them to further their cricketing abilities to give them the opportunity to play at the highest level that is available to them.

I wish all of the colts for next season, continued improvement and success, wherever their ability and ambition takes them.

Steve Finch  (Colts Manager)
